Monique Lefebvre: Board Certified Structural Integrator, Scarwork therapist
Bodywork is a reflection of my lifelong pursuit of movement. As a child, if I wasn’t outside climbing trees, I was at competitive gymnastics, running long distances, or playing lacrosse. Pilates, yoga, and adventurous outdoor pursuits have kept me active since.
I hold a Bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Maine. In 2019, I graduated from the New Hampshire Institute of Therapeutic Arts (NHITA) as a Licensed Massage Therapist. I immediately began a private practice while teaching Anatomy and Physiology courses to massage students. In 2022, I traveled to Colorado to complete a 5-day human cadaver dissection, one of the most profound learning experiences of my life. I then spent several of the following months working in the lab supporting dissection lessons. To this day, I am a regular in continuing education courses and always looking to expand my understanding of how we move.
A majority of my approach to bodywork is deeply informed by my studies with Tom Myers at Anatomy Trains (ATSI), where I graduated as a Board Certified Structural Integrator in 2023. I have additionally studied ScarWork Therapy with Sharon Wheeler, and I hold a certification in the Vodder Technique of Manual Lymphatic Drainage through the Klose Institute.
I exclusively offer bodywork based on my advanced certifications and do not offer full-body, relaxation-style therapeutic massage.
I deeply believe in the transformative power of bodywork and look forward to sharing my practice with you.
